On September 21, 2025, coinciding with the International Day of Peace, the World Peoples Assembly will host the inaugural presentation of its newly established “For Service to Humanity” Award. This prestigious distinction aims to recognize individuals whose work has significantly advanced peacebuilding, humanitarian cooperation, and the values of selfless service.
Created by the World Peoples Assembly, the award celebrates exceptional achievements in public diplomacy and efforts that foster international and intercultural dialogue. It seeks to honor those who promote unity, friendship, and mutual understanding across borders.
“In creating this award, we acknowledge the immense power of public diplomacy and the leaders who dedicate themselves to building harmony around the world,” stated Andrey Belyaninov, Secretary-General of the World Peoples Assembly. “Their commitment to peace and humanity deserves recognition, especially in times when such examples are vital to inspire continued efforts despite global challenges.”
The award will be conferred upon public and political figures, as well as prominent voices in science, culture, education, and civic leadership, who have made meaningful contributions to strengthening trust among nations. The names of the first five laureates, selected by the Assembly’s Council and approved by the Secretary-General will be revealed shortly before the ceremony.
