From August 12 to September 14, 2025, the Kaliningrad region will host the All-Russian Youth Educational Forum “SHUM,” part of the Rosmolodezh.Forums platform. Now in its fourth edition, SHUM will welcome 1,200 young media professionals and journalists from across Russia and abroad.

This dynamic forum serves as a launchpad for emerging voices in media and journalism. Participants will connect with industry leaders, refine their content creation skills, collaborate with seasoned experts, and spark ideas for bold new media projects.

Focus: Media & Journalism

SHUM’s mission is to identify and support the next generation of media talent, journalists, PR specialists, bloggers, and content creators, through tailored educational programs and hands-on experience.

Four Sessions, One Vision

This year’s forum features four specialized tracks:

  • SHUM.MediaCenter (August 12–18): For student media teams and young professionals focused on youth policy and educational content.
  • SHUM.MediaExperiments (August 22–27): Designed for media creators aged 14–17, with support from the “Movement of the First” to produce high-quality content.
  • SHUM.Professions (September 1–6): Targeting active press secretaries, journalists, bloggers, and media leaders looking to advance their careers.
  • SHUM.Community (September 9–14): A space for alumni, experts, and partners to co-create future media initiatives.

International media specialists will also take part, sharing perspectives on Russia’s media landscape. Their participation began last year with the “SHUM.Journalism of Industry 5.0” program, which drew over 100 attendees from 86 countries. Registration for foreign participants will open soon via the World Youth Festival Directorate platform.

Beyond the core sessions, SHUM offers a public program featuring industry lectures, cultural events, and a business dialogue bridging state, civil, and corporate media sectors.
